
After succeeding in interoperability tests, ALERT has been admitted to participate in the IHE North American Connectathon 2009, which will take place in Chicago (USA), on February 23-27.
Connectathon (Connectivity Marathon) is an IHE promoted event which brings together several clinical software suppliers for a whole week. The interoperability functionalities of the various participating systems are tested during this event.
ALERT will present a system that allows for the following functionalities:
- To establish a communication infrastructure between healthcare facilities that are geographically dispersed;
- To enable for the exchange of clinical documents between healthcare facilities;
- To bring crucial clinical information to the attention of healthcare staff, thus promoting an improved healthcare.
Moreover, these systems use state-of-the-art technologies and international interoperability standards between healthcare systems; they also comply with the strictest security standards.
ALERT has achieved 8 IHE Integration Statements to date.
